Ingredients: 6 cups 1-inch cubes crustless French bread (from about 3/4 of a 1-pound loaf of French bread); 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted; 1 3/4 cups whole milk; 1 cup whipping cream; 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped; 1 cup sugar; 4 large egg yolks; Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional)
