    For 1 cup light corn syrup, substitute 1 1/4 cups sugar plus 1/4 cup of liquid. For 1 cup dark corn syrup, substitute 3/4 cup light corn syrup plus 1/4 cup molasses or 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar plus 1/4 cup water.
